IT Operation Manager, Data Center

What You'll Be Doing

• Manage critical Data Center IT & Asset operations, involved in Data Center buildouts and scaling.
• Responsible for the daily operation maintenance and service management of the computer room within the jurisdiction, balance the service quality, efficiency, cost and safety in combination with the actual situation, and continuously optimize and improve to support the business operations of the department;
• Responsible for responding to and handling IDC risk events and emergency fault handling, and realizing controllable operation risks such as IDC changes and faults;
• Responsible for establishing efficient cooperative relations with local government departments and completing the compliance operation requirements assigned by government departments;
• Undertake on site technical support for business equipment, understand business needs and network structure, and promote the implementation of operation projects between teams;
• Responsible for the talent echelon construction, capacity training, risk control, team culture construction, on-site operation and maintenance team management and assessment of the IDC on-site operation and maintenance team;
• Technical leader managing team and consultants to implement the data center operations in normal and emergency situations.
• Recommend, document, and oversee policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and to meet required SLAs.
• Coordinate external vendors, ensure the resource's supply and delivery, match business's growth.
• Provide instructions to vendors, installation contractors and validate quality of vendor works on site.
• Responsibility for outsourcing and vendor management of colocation Data Centre services providers to meet or exceed contracted performance SLA's.
• Respond on an as-needed basis to emergencies in regional DCs, including traveling to site and to provide on-site support.

What We're Looking For

• 1. Bachelor's degree in a business, engineering or computer science
• 5+ years experience in large global data center site operation
• Functional knowledge of Data Center mechanical, electrical, and controls systems
• Deep knowledge of information technology infrastructure domains such as computer server platforms, storage server platforms, server components, network devices, technologies and architectures, IT service delivery principles and best practices
• Highly driven, self-managed individual. Greatly developed problem analysis and critical thinking experience.
• Knowledge of data center construction procedure and capacity planning
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (25% to 50%+ at times)
• Must be familiar with Excel and PowerPoint
