Cloud Solution Architect

As part of the transformation journey, our client are looking for an experienced Cloud Solution Architect who could bridge the gap between our physical heritage and our digital future. Your focus will be on automation, cloud migration, and security-by-design. Responsibilities • Define and design end-to-end architecture solutions aligned with business and technical requirements. • Develop target-state architectures and migration strategies for legacy systems. • Produce architecture artefacts including diagrams, data flows, integration designs, and technical documentation. • Evaluate and recommend technologies, platforms, and frameworks aligned with enterprise standards. • Partner with business leaders to understand transformation goals and operational needs. • Collaborate with engineering, product, data, and security teams across the solution lifecycle. • Facilitate workshops, design sessions, and architecture reviews to align stakeholders. • Provide architectural guidance and best practices to development teams. • Lead proof-of-concepts (POCs) to validate new technologies and approaches. • Ensure solutions are implemented in alignment with architectural principles and governance. • Design solutions that adhere to security, privacy, and regulatory requirements. • Work closely with cybersecurity teams to conduct risk assessments and ensure secure-by-design principles. • Support governance processes and maintain compliance with enterprise standards. • Architect cloud-native and hybrid solutions with a focus on scalability and resilience. • Optimize systems for performance, cost efficiency, and operational maintainability. • Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement of existing systems. • Maintain high-quality architecture documentation and standards. • Contribute to the development of architectural frameworks, reference models, and best practices. The Ideal Candidate • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. • Strong background in system design, distributed systems, and integration patterns. • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP). • Solid understanding of APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures. • Experience with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) and data platforms. • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, containers, and orchestration tools. • Knowledge of networking, identity and access management, and security architecture. • Experience designing enterprise-scale or transformation-focused architectures. • Exposure to hybrid environments and legacy system modernization. • Experience with data-intensive, document management, or content-driven systems is advantageous. • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language.
