QA Automation Engineer

An excellent QA Automation Engineer opportunity has just arisen with an experienced team in a well-established organisation.

Job Purpose:
Ensure software quality through effective testing, automation, and collaboration across technical and business teams.

Job Responsibilities:
•  Understand business requirements and translate them into clear, structured test scenarios and cases.
•  Design and execute functional, integration, and regression tests across multiple systems and platforms.
•  Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and expected outcomes.
•  Work closely with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to troubleshoot issues across systems and APIs.
•  Support and enhance automation frameworks for critical workflows and improve overall testing efficiency.

Job Requirements:
•  Experience in software testing, including manual and automation testing across complex applications.
•  Familiar with Agile or Scrum environments and tools like Jira or similar platforms.
•  Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar frameworks.
•  Understanding of APIs, databases, and system integrations for effective end-to-end testing.
•  Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control tools like Git or Jenkins preferred.

•  Can trace issues across APIs, logs, DB queries, microservices.
•  Understand how systems talk to each other (REST, messaging, DB layers).
•  Hands-on experience building Appium frameworks (not just scripts).
•  Understand order lifecycles, trade flows, validations, exceptions.
