Job Title: IT Project Manager (Banking)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the delivery of technology initiatives within the banking environment. The role will be responsible for managing end-to-end project delivery while ensuring adherence to the bank’s System Development Methodology (SDM) and governance framework. The Project Manager will coordinate across business, technology, and vendor teams to drive delivery, manage risks, and ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end project delivery in compliance with the bank’s System Development Methodology (SDM) and governance standards.
• Plan, track, and manage project activities across multiple work streamsm including development, system integration, and testing phases.
• Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Technology teams, QA teams, and vendors to ensure successful project execution and timely delivery.
• Prepare and present project status reports, delivery updates, risks, and issues for governance forums such as Project Steering Committee (PSC), Project Working Committee (PWC), and Project Working Group (PWG) meetings.
• Proactively identify, track, and manage project risks, dependencies, and issues, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
• Maintain and update project delivery plans, RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), and governance documentation.
• Drive stakeholder engagement and communication across business units, technology teams, and senior management.
• Manage and enforce change management and scope control processes, ensuring proper documentation, impact assessment, and approvals.
• Ensure project deliverables meet banking regulatory, security, and compliance standards.
• Prepare ad-hoc reporting, dashboards, and presentations for senior management and project stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
• 8–12 years of experience in IT project management, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Strong experience delivering large-scale banking technology projects or system implementations.
• Good understanding of SDLC / SDM frameworks and project governance models used in banks.
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams, vendors, and multiple stakeholders.
• Experience managing risk, issue, and change management processes in a structured project environment.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or similar.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, Prince2, or Agile / Scrum certification.
• Experience working on core banking, digital banking, payments, or regulatory projects.
• Familiarity with system integration, UAT coordination, and banking technology environments.
