Network Security Engineer

Weare seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer with a strong data centre networking security background and exposure to Operational Technology (OT) environments.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Ability to simplify technical concepts: Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate complex technical topics in a simple and concise manner for a wide range of stakeholders.

·       Experience in firewall architecture, policy design, and rule management is highly desirable.

·       Design & Implement Security Protocols Build and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs.

·       Hands on firewall implementation experience.

·       Proven experience in firewall policy creation, rule optimisation and implementation (e.g. Fortinet or similar platforms)

·       Network Security fundamentals: Solid understanding of core network security principles, including segmentation, VPNs, access control, and threat mitigation.

·       Conduct Security Audits Identify vulnerabilities, perform penetration testing, and remediation projects.

Qualifications& Required Skills:

·       Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information technology and related field.

·        5 years of hands-on experience in network security operations and data center environments.

·       Certifications: CCNA/CCNP Security, CISSP, CISM – Networking focused, widely respected in Data Center environment.

Soft Skills:

Strong English proficiency: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are essential

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Ability to work independently and within a team

Proactive and detail-oriented approach

Ability to work under pressure in mission-critical environments

Background: Data Center Networking Security in IT and OT Systems

Language Skills: Proficiency in English, Mandarin OR Malay.
