Consol Operations Manager, Up $7K

Working Location: Alexandra Road

Working Hours: 8.30AM - 5.30PM (Mon - Fri)

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain business standards for accuracy, productivity, and reliability.
• Manage the daily functions of the business
• Prepare annual performance review and reevaluate processes
• Ensure regulatory, compliance and legal rules are followed
• Manage budget to align with goals of business
• Manage a team of import, export, transshipment & nomination staff
• Plan for team's development, setup for SOPs where required
• Monitor and aid in solving day to day issues where needed
• Managing department budgets and get involved in setting targets
• Handle Shipping Claims where needed
• Manage elevated customer concerns and negotiate claims.
• Prepare performance reports & improvement plans
• Negotiate with Carriers, Warehouse Operators or Distribution networks to determine favourable Tariffs

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Strong ability to multitask
• Comfort working with multiple groups within business
• 5 years of work experience in NVOCC preferred
• A Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Maritime Studies or equivalent
• Strong Interpersonal Skills
• Ability to make decisions at critical moments
• Experienced in using Sysfreight Software preferred Industry
