Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our Tender & Contracts team. The successful candidate will support tender preparation, cost estimation, quantity take-offs, and contract administration for civil engineering projects.
• Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to identify project scope, requirements, and commercial risks
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, cost plans, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
• Carry out quantity take-offs for civil works including earthworks, drainage, roadworks, and utilities
• Attend tender briefings, site visits, and walkthroughs for ongoing tenders
• Source, evaluate, and compare quotations from subcontractors and suppliers
• Prepare and issue tender enquiry packages to subcontractors (where applicable)
• Conduct price analysis and commercial evaluations to support tender decisions
• Assist in negotiation of contract terms with subcontractors and suppliers
• Prepare and compile tender submissions, including pricing breakdowns and clarifications
• Support tender analysis, evaluation, and recommendation reports
• Assist in tender interviews and presentations when required
• Maintain proper documentation and records for audit and contract compliance
• Liaise with internal stakeholders for both pre-contract and post-contract administration
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and relevant Singapore regulations
• Perform other duties or tasks as assigned by the immediate superior or Head of Department
Qualifications
• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
• Fresh graduates and entry-level candidates are welcome to apply
• Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and civil engineering works
• Knowledge of measurement rules and BOQ preparation
• Familiarity with standard forms of contract (PSSCOC / SIA / FIDIC) will be an advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PDF tools; familiarity with general office software
• Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings and specifications
• Familiarity with CostX / Cost TBQ is an advantage
• Strong willingness to learn and develop in a fast-paced construction environment
• Good communication skills and positive working attitude
• Able to work independently as well as in a team
