Infrastructure Engineer

Key Responsibilities

1. Infrastructure Design & Implementation

• Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure.

• Prepare High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents.

• Implement server, storage, and virtualization solutions.

• Ensure infrastructure scalability and redundancy planning.

2. Server Administration

• Manage Windows Server and/or Linux environments.

• Configure Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy.

• Perform patch management and system upgrades.

• Monitor server performance and troubleshoot issues.

3. Virtualization & Data Center Management

• Administer VMware / Hyper-V environments.

• Manage virtual machines provisioning and optimization.

• Configure clustering and high availability.

• Handle data center operations and rack-level deployments.

4. Storage & Backup Management

• Manage SAN/NAS storage systems.

• Configure backup solutions (Veeam, Veritas, Commvault, etc.).

• Ensure disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity planning.

• Conduct regular backup verification and restore testing.

5. Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure

• Manage infrastructure in AWS / Azure / GCP.

• Configure cloud VMs, storage, and networking.

• Implement hybrid connectivity solutions.

• Support cloud migration initiatives.

6. Monitoring & Security

• Use monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Zabbix, Nagios).

• Implement endpoint security and antivirus solutions.

• Support vulnerability remediation.

• Maintain compliance with IT security policies.

7. Incident & Change Management

• Provide L2/L3 support for infrastructure-related issues.

• Perform root cause analysis (RCA).

• Participate in change management and maintenance windows.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong experience in Windows/Linux Server Administration

• Hands-on experience with VMware / Hyper-V

• Knowledge of Storage (SAN/NAS)

• Experience in Backup & Disaster Recovery

• Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VLAN, Firewall fundamentals)

• Experience with Cloud Infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP)

• Familiarity with ITIL processes

Preferred Certifications

• Microsoft Certified (MCSE / Azure Administrator)

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP)

• AWS/Azure Cloud Certification

• ITIL Certification

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / IT / Engineering or related discipline.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 7+ years in IT infrastructure management

• Experience in enterprise or data center environments
