Cybersecurity Engineer (Azure Security)

• Minimum 3 years of relevant in-house cybersecurity experience with hands-on Azure cloud security implementation experience

• Strong knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, and security governance frameworks.

• Experience supporting audits and compliance initiatives.

As a Security Engineer, you will manage security incidents, conduct threat hunting with SIEM/SOAR tools, and support IT audits. You will oversee vulnerability assessments, security training, and IT security for vessels. You will also lead security projects, provide advisory for projects, and engage with external parties on cyber threats.

Job Description

Security Operations & Engineering

• Lead security incident investigations and proactive threat hunting (SIEM/SOAR).

• Manage EDR, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.

• Maintain risk registers, security dashboards, and conduct cyber drills.

• Monitor emerging threats and enhance overall security controls.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

• Support ISO 27001 and SOC framework implementation and continuous improvement.

• Participate in internal and external IT audits and drive remediation.

• Maintain security policies, incident response plans, and compliance documentation.

• Ensure alignment with NIST, ISO 27000, IMO and relevant regulatory requirements.

• Conduct phishing simulations and security awareness programmes.

Cloud Security & DevSecOps

• Design and implement security controls in Azure (IaaS, Containers, AKS).

• Manage Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Policy, and Azure Security Center.

• Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps).

• Provide security advisory for cloud and SaaS projects.

Maritime / Vessel IT Security

• Support vessel IT security setup, audit, and remediation.

• Ensure compliance with maritime cybersecurity guidelines (IMO, TMSA preferred).

Requirements

• Degree in Information Security, Computer Science or related field.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant in-house cybersecurity experience.

• Strong knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, and security governance frameworks.

• Hands-on Azure cloud security implementation experience is mandatory.

• Experience supporting audits and compliance initiatives.

• Preferred Certifications: CCSP, Azure Security Engineer, CISSP, CISM, AZ-500, SC-200/300/100.
