Job Description

We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Linux and VMware environments, preferably with exposure to enterprise or banking production support systems.

Key Responsibilities

Linux / Unix Administration

  • Install, configure, and maintain RHEL / Oracle Linux / SUSE / Ubuntu servers
  • Perform OS patching, upgrades, and vulnerability remediation
  • Manage file systems, LVM, permissions, and system performance tuning
  • Troubleshoot OS, network, and server issues in production environments
  • Perform user management, cron jobs, and system hardening activities

VMware / Virtualization

  • Support VMware vSphere environment (ESXi / vCenter)
  • Manage virtual machines (provisioning, cloning, basic troubleshooting)
  • Support VM performance monitoring and resource allocation
  • Assist in VM migration and maintenance activities

Infrastructure Operations / Support

  • Provide L2/L3 production support for infrastructure incidents
  • Support incident, problem, and change management processes
  • Work in 24x7 enterprise production environments
  • Perform system health checks and monitoring activities
  • Participate in DR and backup validation activities
  • Support enterprise or banking applications in production
  • Work with application teams for issue resolution and system stability
  • Ensure compliance with SLA and operational standards

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5–12 years of experience in Linux system administration
  • Strong hands-on experience in VMware vSphere / ESXi
  • Experience in production support (L2/L3) environments
  • Good troubleshooting skills across OS, VM, and infrastructure layers
  • Exposure to enterprise monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
