Senior Data Lineage Engineer (Collibra)

• We are seeking an experienced Senior Collibra Data Governance & Lineage Architect to lead enterprise data governance, metadata management, lineage implementation, and integration initiatives within a large-scale Banking and Financial Services environment
  
  Collibra Governance & Configuration
  
• Design, configure, and implement enterprise-wide data governance solutions using Collibra Data Governance Center (DGC).
• Develop and maintain Business Glossary, Data Dictionary, Data Catalog, and metadata governance frameworks.
• Configure Collibra operating model, including Communities, Domains, Asset Types, Roles, Responsibilities, and Governance Workflows.
• Develop and enhance custom workflows using Flowable, BPMN, Groovy scripting, and Workflow Designer.
• Metadata & Data Lineage
• Implement technical and business lineage solutions across enterprise applications and data platforms.
• Design and develop automated metadata ingestion pipelines using REST APIs, JDBC, Edge, and custom integrations.
• Perform metadata quality checks, lineage validation, and governance compliance reviews.
• Map end-to-end lineage across source systems, ETL/ELT platforms, data warehouses, reporting platforms, and downstream applications.
• Integration & Cloud Platforms
• Integrate Collibra with enterprise systems including Snowflake, Databricks, Power BI, MDM, Oracle, SQL Server, and cloud-native platforms.
• Support integration with ETL/ELT tools and enterprise APIs.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on cloud-native governance and metadata management initiatives across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
• Data Governance & Compliance

Support implementation of enterprise data governance policies, standards, stewardship models, and ownership frameworks.

Collaborate with Data Governance Offices, Risk, Compliance, and Technology teams to align governance initiatives with regulatory expectations.

Support governance programs related to data quality, data lineage, reference data, and metadata management.

Stakeholder & Delivery Management

Conduct governance workshops, solution walkthroughs, and stakeholder discussions with business and technical teams.

Provide technical SME support for defect remediation, enhancements, and governance adoption initiatives.

Prepare project status reports, risk assessments, governance dashboards, and technical documentation.

Mentor junior engineers and support continuity through knowledge sharing and documentation.

Job Requirements

6+ years of experience in Data Governance, Metadata Management, or Data Lineage implementations.

Strong hands-on experience with Collibra Data Governance Center (DGC), Business Glossary, Catalog, and Lineage.

Experience developing Collibra workflows using Flowable, BPMN, Workflow Designer, and Groovy scripting.

Strong expertise in REST API integrations, metadata ingestion, and custom lineage creation.

Experience working with enterprise databases, including Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, MongoDB, or Snowflake.

Good understanding of enterprise data governance frameworks, metadata management, and data quality concepts.

Experience integrating Collibra with cloud and enterprise platforms.

Strong SQL and data profiling skills.

Experience working in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, or regulated enterprise environments.

Strong stakeholder communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with BigID, Alation, Informatica EDC, Ataccama, or other governance tools.

Exposure to Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Power BI, or cloud-native data platforms.

Knowledge of MAS, BCBS239, or enterprise data governance regulations.

Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, or cloud-native deployments.
