Senior Avaloq Functional Business Analyst / Project Manager

The Senior Avaloq Functional Business Analyst / Project Manager will lead end‑to‑end delivery of Avaloq‑based initiatives across core banking, wealth management, payments, and regulatory domains. This hybrid role requires strong functional expertise in Avaloq, hands‑on business analysis capability, and proven experience managing medium‑to‑large projects in a banking environment. 🛠️ Key Responsibilities

Functional Analysis & Solution Design

• Engage business stakeholders to gather, validate, and refine functional requirements across Avaloq modules.
• Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Conduct gap analysis, propose Avaloq‑aligned solutions, and ensure compliance with platform standards.
• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for Avaloq processes, parameterisation logic, and functional workflows.
• Support solution design discussions, feasibility assessments, and architecture reviews.

Project & Delivery Management

• Lead end‑to‑end project delivery, from initiation and scoping to deployment and post‑go‑live support.
• Develop project plans, manage timelines, track milestones, and ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams including business, developers, testers, vendors, and external partners.
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests with clear communication and escalation paths.
• Facilitate steering committees, stakeholder updates, and project governance reporting.

Testing, Quality Assurance & Deployment

• Define test strategy, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria for SIT and UAT cycles.
• Support test execution, defect triage, and resolution with development and QA teams.
• Validate end‑to‑end functionality and ensure alignment with regulatory, operational, and compliance requirements.
• Oversee release planning, deployment coordination, and production readiness activities.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

• Act as the primary liaison between business users, technology teams, and external vendors.
• Lead workshops, requirement walkthroughs, and solution demonstrations.
• Provide clear, structured communication to senior stakeholders and project sponsors.
• Mentor junior BAs and contribute to internal knowledge sharing and process improvement.

📌 Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 8–12+ years of experience in banking technology, with at least 5+ years in Avaloq functional roles.
• Strong understanding of Avaloq modules such as Payments, Securities, Corporate Actions, Client Onboarding, or Wealth Management.
• Proven experience managing end‑to‑end technology projects in a banking or financial services environment.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and project governance frameworks.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into functional and technical requirements.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
• Experience with SQL, data analysis, and interface workflows is an advantage.

⭐ Preferred Qualifications

• Avaloq Certified Professional (ACP) or specialization certification.
• Experience with regulatory initiatives (MAS, FATCA, CRS, AML/KYC).
• Exposure to integration projects, API‑based architectures, or cloud‑based banking solutions.
• Experience working with global or regional banking teams.
• Strong vendor management experience.
