Technical Engineer (Railway Power System)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Engineer to support our metro railway power system projects in Singapore.

This role focuses on design coordination, drawing and document review, interface management, and technical support to the project team, ensuring all engineering deliverables and submissions meet project, authority, and safety requirements.

The position does not require drafting. The ability to read, review, and interpret drawings and technical documents is sufficient.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Technical Coordination

• Coordinate and support technical and design matters for metro railway power system projects
• Review electrical drawings, schematics, design reports, and technical submissions
• Ensure design deliverables comply with project requirements, specifications, and standards

Interface & Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate interfaces between contractors, consultants, and system disciplines
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and relevant authorities on design-related issues
• Support resolution of technical queries, comments, and design clarifications

Documentation & Submission Control

• Track design revisions, approvals, and technical submissions
• Maintain proper records of engineering documentation and design coordination items
• Prepare technical reports, meeting minutes, and coordination records

Testing & Commissioning Support

• Support testing and commissioning activities for electrical and power systems
• Provide technical assistance and problem-solving support during site and project execution

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure engineering works comply with safety standards, statutory regulations, and project specifications

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or related discipline
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in metro, railway, LTA, or large-scale electrical infrastructure projects (required)
• Good understanding of power distribution and/or traction power systems
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation
• Experience in design coordination or interface management is an advantage
• AutoCAD knowledge is beneficial but not mandatory
• Good communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
• Independent, responsible, and able to work in a fast-paced project environment
• Singaporean / WP / EP candidates are welcome
