Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities
• Provide oversight and accountability on technical deliverables, ensuring conformance to quality standards.
• Analyse functional and non-functional requirements and engineer solutions accordingly.
• Engage stakeholders and project teams to understand requirements and align technical approaches.
• Participate in defect triage discussions to track, resolve, and close issues within project timelines.
• Drive performance tuning initiatives, optimization activities, and improvement of runtime environments.
• Lead evaluation of third-party products, PoCs, and integration activities.
• Ensure delivery discipline, process compliance, and traceability of technical changes.

Key Requirements
• Proven experience delivering Application Infrastructure projects.
• Experience integrating open-source libraries, APIs, and middleware.
• Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on experience in performance tuning, including garbage collection and optimization of JBoss EAP and MQ platforms.
• Basic domain exposure in cash management, payments, or corporate banking is preferred.
• Experience managing vendor deliverables and conducting technical quality assurance.
• Proficiency in design patterns, solution design, and PoCs.
• Effective team player capable of working across multiple stakeholders.
• Process-oriented with strong ownership and delivery mindset.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment.
• Ability to stay current with evolving technologies, development methodologies, and industry trends.

Good to Have
• Functional knowledge or experience in Corporate Banking.
• Prior experience as Technical Lead or PM in payment middleware platforms or customer onboarding channels.
• Experience in automated testing tools (TOSCA, Selenium).
• DevOps exposure – Jenkins, CI/CD tools, and methodologies.
• High energy, ownership mindset, product thinking, and passion for technology innovation.

Technical Skills
• Java development experience, including at least 3 year on Java 2 and 3–4 years with Restful APIs, Microservices, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Reactive JS.
• Knowledge of software design patterns and performance tuning.
• Experience with middleware technologies: MQ, EMS, RabbitMQ, Kafka.
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Wiley, APM).
• Exposure to code quality and security tools: Sonar, Crucible, Fortify, etc.
