Senior Unix Systems Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain Unix and Linux servers across production, disaster recovery, and testing environments reliably
• Implement system upgrades, security hardening, patching, and proactive monitoring to ensure infrastructure stability and compliance
• Manage incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive solutions aligned with service level agreements
• Execute change, release, and deployment activities ensuring minimal disruption to critical payment systems and services
• Monitor capacity, optimize performance, and support infrastructure projects while maintaining documentation and operational processes

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field with strong infrastructure fundamentals and knowledge
• 6+ years experience administering Unix, Linux, middleware environments within enterprise or financial services organizations
• Hands-on expertise in scripting, automation, system monitoring, backup tools, and SAN storage technologies across environments
• Experience in OS hardening, patching, performance tuning, and supporting high availability production systems effectively
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
