Job Description

1. Monitor and operate GCP-based regulatory reporting platforms on a daily basis, ensuring availability, performance, and data integrity to meet strict regulatory submission deadlines across multiple jurisdictions.

2. Perform continuous monitoring, alert triage, and incident response using GCP Cloud Monitoring and Logging (Stackdriver), proactively identifying risks and resolving production issues within defined SLAs.

3. Manage GCP infrastructure and services end-to-end, including VPCs, IAM roles, service accounts, BigQuery datasets, Cloud SQL instances, storage buckets, firewall rules, and network routing.

4. Execute and maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) operations, including DR readiness checks, scheduled DR drills, failover testing, documentation updates, and regulatory evidence preparation.

5. Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform / Deployment Manager to provision, update, and standardise cloud resources while preventing configuration drift.

6. Operate and support CI/CD pipelines on a daily basis, ensuring smooth application deployments, configuration updates, and infrastructure changes using Cloud Build, Jenkins, and Git repositories.

7. Manage incident, problem, and change processes under ITIL frameworks, including root cause analysis, corrective action planning, change validation, and post‑incident reporting.

8. Collaborate closely with Risk, Compliance, Audit, and Operations teams, providing daily operational inputs, access reviews, logging evidence, and control attestations required for internal and external audits.

9. Optimise GCP resource utilisation and cloud spend through rightsizing, usage analysis, lifecycle management, and automated scheduling, while maintaining regulatory and security controls.

10. Coordinate global operational handovers and on-call rotas across APAC, EMEA, and US teams to ensure uninterrupted 24×7 regulatory platform support.

11. Maintain operational artefacts such as runbooks, SOPs, dashboards, and audit documentation, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and readiness for regulator inspections.

12. Mentor and guide junior engineers and support staff, providing daily oversight on cloud operations best practices, monitoring standards, compliance controls, and automation techniques.

Requirements

1. Lead end-to-end cloud operations for GCP-hosted regulatory platforms, ensuring high availability, resilience, performance, and strict adherence to global regulatory reporting timelines across MAS, ESMA, FCA, CFTC, and ASIC jurisdictions.

2. Design, deploy, and operate secure and scalable GCP environments using services such as VPC, IAM, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, GKE, and Cloud Operations Suite, with a strong focus on control compliance, audit readiness, and least-privilege access.

3. Own Disaster Recovery (DR) planning, execution, and governance, including DR architecture design, periodic DR testing, regulatory documentation, test evidence management, and closure of audit observations.

4. Implement automation-first cloud operations using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform / Deployment Manager and CI/CD pipelines (Cloud Build, Jenkins, Git), reducing manual effort, configuration drift, and deployment risk.

5. Manage 24×7 operations, incident, problem, and change management for critical regulatory workloads, coordinating with global teams across APAC, EMEA, and the US to meet stringent SLAs and regulator-imposed deadlines.

6. Drive proactive monitoring, logging, and reliability engineering, including dashboard creation, alert tuning, root cause analysis, and preventive controls using Cloud Monitoring, Logging, and SRE best practices.

7. Optimise cloud costs and operational efficiency through rightsizing, committed use discounts, lifecycle policies, automated shutdown/startup schedules, and continuous usage analysis without compromising regulatory controls.

8. Act as a key interface between Engineering, Risk, Compliance, Audit, and Operations teams, mentoring junior engineers, demonstrating control effectiveness, and ensuring continuous operational excellence for large-scale regulatory applications.
