Job Description
Summary
Maintenance Technician I/II is responsible for the servicing, inspection, repair and maintenance of equipment, plant and facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Coordinate servicing, inspection, repair and maintenance of equipment, plant, and facilities to ensure minimum downtime
• Plan and organize Weekly and Daily Preventive Maintenance (PM) Program
• Responsible for the performance and discipline of the technicians on shift duty
• Coordinate minor and major repairs, replacement & overhaul of equipment, plant, and facilities at component & system level, to ensure minimum disruption to operations
• Ensure quick response to trouble-shoot, rectify, and re-activate equipment, plant, and facilities. If unable, to organize recovery to workshop to repair, rectify and make good, and put back into operation with minimum delays and downtime.
• Verify the accuracy of computer daily job sheets and time keeping
• Monitor and review work methods, conditions, and housekeeping to ensure safe working environment
• Verify and ensure workshop equipment are maintained in good working condition
• Verify parts for replacement are beyond economic repair (BER) and cannot be reconditioned
• Any other duties as assigned
• Ensure compliance with all workplace safety, security, and health policies and procedure
• Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned by the reporting manager or department head
Requirements
• Minimum Vocational/ITE certificate or equivalent in Building Maintenance
• Experience in servicing, inspection, repair and maintenance of equipment, plant and facilities will be an added advantage
• Must possess minimum LTA class 3 driving license
