Job Description

• a) Lead day-to-day cloud platform operations for the Cloud File Transfer (CFT) platform, with a strong focus on monitoring, performance optimisation, reliability, release management, and continuous improvement within AWS environments. • b) Take ownership of L2 incident management, troubleshooting, and escalation for high-throughput file transfer workflows across multiple agencies, collaborating closely with engineering, security, and agency stakeholders to resolve incidents within agreed SLAs. • c) Design, manage, and continuously optimise AWS cloud infrastructure to deliver a scalable, secure, cost-efficient, and highly available CFT platform. • d) Define, refine, and enforce operational processes including runbooks, dashboards, daily health checks, incident communication workflows, and operational reporting with actionable insights. • e) Drive change, release, and maintenance activities by conducting impact analysis, risk assessments, mitigation planning, and executing system upgrades and infrastructure enhancements to maintain platform stability. • f) Review testing outcomes to ensure all changes meet operational, performance, and security standards prior to release, while defining and continuously improving operational OKRs, SLAs, and reliability metrics. • g) Contribute to portal and backend enhancements, bug fixes, and operational tooling to improve platform reliability, performance, and long-term maintainability. • h) Share operational best practices, incident learnings, and technical knowledge within the team and across the programme to raise engineering standards and overall platform reliability. Experience and Skills • a) Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on industry experience. • b) At least 2 years of hands-on experience managing production workloads in public cloud environments, preferably AWS. • c) Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities across cloud infrastructure, applications, and distributed systems. • d) Proven experience owning and resolving production incidents with urgency, accountability, and attention to detail. • e) Experience defining, implementing, and enforcing operational processes, procedures, and best practices. • f) Familiarity with operating highly available and secure cloud environments, including the implementation of preventative operational controls. • g) Understanding of change management principles, impact analysis, and service reliability improvement practices. • h) Preferred: experience operating applications on AWS and prior exposure to Singapore Government agency projects. Key Technologies • a) Terraform for infrastructure-as-code and cloud resource provisioning and management. • b) GitLab for CI/CD pipelines and source code version control. • c) Strong understanding of AWS services and architectures supporting production-grade workloads.
