Job Description

Key Responsibilities Product Design and Delivery • Understand the overall product strategy and assess the current UX state of the project. • Contribute design screens and UX deliverables for active sprint work. • Gather requirements from stakeholders and collaborate with the scrum team to define product needs. • Co-create solutions with stakeholders, designers, engineers, and product managers. • Design, prototype, test, and ship new product features. • Lead research efforts to identify product growth opportunities or enhancements for existing product tracks. • Analyse user feedback and user activity to continuously iterate and improve the user experience. User Experience and Service Improvement • Design seamless digital experiences that help citizens complete government services with ease. • Address agency pain points and improve operational efficiency through better digital design. • Use data and research insights to improve government services. • Design reusable patterns and solutions that can be applied across products. • Translate complex problems into clear user journeys, workflows, information architecture, and interaction patterns. • Create intuitive, accessible, and easy-to-use designs for complex tasks. Stakeholder Engagement • Work with government agencies, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional scrum teams to inform product and design decisions. • Balance user, business, and technical needs while making informed design trade-offs. • Present design strategies, rationale, and decisions clearly and confidently to leadership and stakeholders. Qualifications • Product and User-Centric Mindset • Strong desire to serve the public through the use of technology. • Ability to translate complex requirements into clear user journeys, workflows, information architectures, and interaction patterns. • Ability to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints. • Experience using data and user research to support and justify design decisions. • Ability to present design strategies and decisions to leadership and stakeholders with clarity and confidence. • Strong interest in analysing user feedback and user activity to improve user experience. Required Skills • Design and Technical Skills • Ability to handle complex tasks and turn them into intuitive, accessible, and user-friendly designs. • Strong attention to detail and good problem-solving skills. • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma and Miro. • Experience working in agile and cross-functional product teams. • Frontend development knowledge would be an advantage. Preferred Skills • At least 6–8 years of professional experience in UX design, interaction design, or product design. • Strong portfolio demonstrating complex problem-solving experience. • Exposure to AI-driven experiences. • Understanding of accessibility standards such as WCAG and how to design for diverse user groups.
