We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst (Risk & Regulations) to support banking transformation initiatives within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will work closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and technology teams to analyse regulatory requirements, translate business needs into system specifications, and ensure successful implementation of solutions across the organisation.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring regulatory compliance, driving effective change delivery, and supporting high-quality product development within Agile squads.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Analysis & Documentation
Work closely with Product Owners and squad members to scope systems, regulations, policies, and processes.
Define and document requirements at the epic and user story level with appropriate level of granularity.
Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, models, diagrams, and documentation.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Facilitate effective communication across business and technical teams to ensure alignment on scope, design, and implementation decisions.
Support the Product Owner in ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and aligned with project objectives.
Validation, Testing & Training
Validate end-to-end requirements through reviews, walkthroughs, and demonstrations.
Prepare and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test cases.
Support training sessions for business users and non-squad stakeholders where required.
Risk & Issue Management
Proactively identify risks and issues that could impact project delivery.
Support post-go-live monitoring and coordinate with Business and IT teams to resolve issues.
Knowledge Sharing & Continuous Improvement
Develop expertise in specific regulatory or risk domains and share knowledge across the team.
Support the squad in improving documentation standards and delivery practices.
Requirements
Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in Banking Change or Transformation projects.
Experience working in Risk, Regulatory, or Compliance related initiatives.
Avaloq platform experience preferred.
Experience in Wealth Management or Private Banking environments is advantageous.
Education
Degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance, or related discipline.
Technical & Functional Skills
Experience working in Agile environments.
Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or other Agile collaboration tools.
Strong skills in requirements gathering, documentation, and conceptual modelling.
Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical business and system solutions.
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage ambiguity.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Comfortable working in fast-paced and evolving environments.
