Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Engineer to design, implement, and manage our organization's DLP solutions to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access, leakage, or loss. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in DLP technologies, data security best practices, and compliance requirements. This role involves working closely with IT, security, and compliance teams to ensure data confidentiality and integrity across all systems and channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions to monitor, detect, and prevent unauthorized data transmission or leakage.

  • Configure and fine-tune DLP policies, rules, and workflows to align with organizational data protection requirements and regulatory standards.

  • Monitor DLP alerts and incidents, conduct investigations, and coordinate remediation efforts with relevant teams.

  • Collaborate with IT, security, compliance, and business units to identify sensitive data, classify data types, and implement appropriate protection controls.

  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of data security controls and DLP effectiveness.

  • Provide technical support and guidance on DLP-related issues, including data encryption, endpoint protection, and network security integration.

  • Stay updated on emerging data protection technologies, threats, and regulatory changes to continuously improve DLP strategies.

  • Develop and deliver training and awareness programs related to data loss prevention and data security best practices.

  • Document DLP configurations, processes, and incident reports for compliance and audit purposes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience working with Data Loss Prevention technologies and data security.

  • Hands-on experience with leading DLP solutions such as Symantec DLP, McAfee DLP, Forcepoint DLP, or Microsoft Purview.

  • Strong understanding of data classification, data protection frameworks, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).

  • Experience in incident response and investigation related to data leakage or breaches.

  • Knowledge of network protocols, endpoint security, encryption technologies, and cloud security.

  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or vendor-specific DLP certifications are a plus.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
