Senior Automation Engineer

Get to know the Role

You will work closely with the Product Manager, Front End, and Backend developers to understand the feature and the implementation to derive and execute feature tests and impacted feature test cases

The Day-to-Day Activities:

• You are responsible for e2e test and release of new features with the best quality possible
• You are responsible for understanding the product/feature in-depth from the end-user point of view and also the underlying implementation
• You are accountable for debugging failed test cases by analyzing logs and API responses, reporting bugs with details and following up on bugs to closure
• You make an impact by executing and maintaining the UI (Web, Mobile app) and API automation suites. You will debug and correct script and data issues in automation suites.
• You will develop and understand an automation framework and add automation test cases for the new features and regression test cases.

Qualifications

• You have a Bachelor degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field with at least 4 years of relevant working experience as an automation QA Engineer.
• You have hands-on experience in testing Android, iOS Mobile apps, and APIs
• You are knowledgeable of testing applications in the banking domain
• You can write requirement docs and derive test cases for new features along with impacted features
• You have extensive working knowledge of the product at the implementation level, should be able to analyze logs and API responses in the Micro-Service integration level
• You have exposure to Agile and weekly sprint and release working models
• You have coding experience and hands-on with automation (Web, Mobile app and API automation)
• You are knowledgeable of tools: Charles, Postman, UI Automation Tools(Selenium, Appium, etc..), Testing Frameworks (Mocha, TestNG, etc.. ), Languages (Any OOPs language, TypeScript, Go, Java, etc..)
• You can communicate well within inter and intra-team settings
