Backend Engineer

You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of our backend services—from designing scalable APIs and optimizing database schemas to managing AWS deployments and production infrastructure. We are looking for a problem solver who is ready to take ownership of features, contribute to system architecture discussions, and build robust, cloud-native solutions that can scale.

Key Responsibilities

-       AWS Infrastructure & Deployment: Take ownership of the deployment lifecycle. You will configure and maintain AWS resources (e.g., EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3) and manage deployment pipelines.

-       System Architecture: Contribute to the design of microservices and event-driven architectures, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.

-       Operational Excellence: Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting strategies (e.g., using CloudWatch, Datadog, or Prometheus) to ensure system health.

Qualifications

-       Experience: At least 5 years of professional backend development experience.

-       Python Expertise: Deep understanding of Python internals, threading, multiprocessing, and async patterns.

-       AWS Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with the AWS ecosystem. You should be comfortable deploying and debugging applications in a cloud environment.

-       Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience defining infrastructure using tools like Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.

-       Containerization: Proficiency with Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes or AWS ECS).

-       Database Skills: Strong grasp of SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and familiarity with NoSQL data modeling.

-       Adaptability: A demonstrated willingness and ability to learn and work with new programming languages and technologies as the product evolves.
