Assistant Manager, Piping (EPC | Caesar II | Piping Design & Engineering)

Responsibilities:

• Review piping layouts, 3D models, material take-offs (MTO), and engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with project specifications, international codes, and internal quality standards.
• Plan and coordinate piping engineering activities and manpower allocation across multiple projects.
• Lead and support the development of department procedures, technical guidelines, and training materials.
• Conduct technical training for engineers and designers within the piping department.
• Collaborate closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure proper interface management and design alignment.
• Provide field engineering support and technical advice during piping installation, testing, and commissioning stages.
• Participate in model reviews, constructability checks, and technical evaluations.
• Drive timely resolution of technical issues to support project milestones and delivery schedules.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Piping Manager.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in piping design and engineering
• Strong expertise in Caesar II for piping stress analysis and ability to interpret stress and vibration reports.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and 3D model review tools such as Navisworks or SmartPlant Review.
• Solid understanding of piping materials, specifications, international standards, and construction methodologies.
• Ability to perform complex piping calculations (e.g. trigonometry, quadratic equations).
