Accounts Manager [up to $10,000 + AWS | Accounting Firm]

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a mixed on-site and remote team, ensuring consistent quality across all client deliverables
• Review staff output (financial statements, management reports, etc.) and maintain quality standards
• Build and sustain strong relationships with assigned clients, the majority of whom are Japanese companies
• Own deadline management across your portfolio — anticipate risks early and escalate proactively
• Respond constructively to non-standard client requests, such as accounting system changes or process improvements
• Collaborate closely with Directors from each department and adapt to different management styles and decision-making approaches
• Help document and strengthen internal workflows where formal processes are still being developed
• Any other ad-hoc duties

Requirements:

• Min 5 years of related accounting experience in account or audit firm with manager-level experience handling a team of 10+ pax
• Proven ability to meet client deadlines with a proactive, solution-oriented approach
• Comfortable working autonomously in an environment where not all internal processes are fully formalized
• Flexible and constructive when handling irregular or unexpected client requests
• Experience managing multicultural teams across on-site and remote settings
• Hands-on experience with Xero, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar accounting software
