Job Summary

The Operations Engineer (Operations Support Engineer) is responsible for the development, integration, maintenance, and operational support of full-stack web applications integrated with Optical CMS APIs. The role ensures system reliability, security, and compliance with government standards, including IM8, PDPA, and GCC+ requirements. The incumbent will support DevSecOps practices, cloud infrastructure management, and continuous system enhancements to deliver secure and high-quality digital services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain full-stack web applications integrated with Optical CMS APIs.

  • Build secure, responsive, and accessible frontend interfaces using React.js / Next.js, ensuring compliance with WCAG 2.1 standards.

  • Develop and optimise backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js and Java (Spring Boot).

  • Integrate headless CMS platforms (e.g., Optical CMS, Contentful, Strapi) to enable dynamic content delivery.

  • Implement secure authentication and authorisation mechanisms, including SSO, OAuth2.0, 2FA, and role-based access control (RBAC).

  • Ensure systems are secure by design and compliant with IM8, PDPA, and government security standards.

  • Implement and maintain DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins), and automated deployment workflows.

  • Deploy, manage, and optimise AWS cloud services, including API Gateway, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, DynamoDB, and RDS.

  • Utilise Docker and Kubernetes for containerisation and orchestration.

  • Conduct unit, integration, and performance testing; support UAT and production cutovers.

  • Monitor system health and performance of CMS backend infrastructure.

  • Perform routine maintenance, updates, patching, and system enhancements.

  • Handle incident management, conduct root cause analysis, and prepare post-incident reports.

  • Provide technical support to users and resolve software or hardware-related issues.

  • Maintain technical documentation and develop training materials for internal stakeholders.

  • Assist in security investigations and implement additional security controls when required.

Technical Skills

  • Programming Languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Java (Spring Boot)

Mandatory Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in an Operations Support or similar role.

  • Experience in development and maintenance using modern web frameworks.

  • Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services and deployment environments.

  • Experience implementing security best practices and compliance standards.

  • Experience working with headless CMS platforms.

  • Familiarity with GCC+ deployment and government cloud compliance requirements.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to support production systems and manage incidents effectively
