Operation Support Engineer

Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Operations Support Engineer with strong full-stack development expertise and operational support experience. The role involves development, maintenance, monitoring, and enhancement of web applications integrated with Optical CMS, ensuring compliance with government security standards and cloud best practices.

The ideal candidate should possess strong hands-on experience in modern web technologies, AWS cloud services, DevSecOps practices, and CMS backend support.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development & Enhancement

• Develop, enhance, and maintain full-stack web applications integrated with Optical CMS APIs.

• Build secure, responsive, and accessible frontend interfaces using React.js / Next.js.

• Develop and optimize backend services/APIs using Node.js, Java Spring Boot, or equivalent stacks.

• Enable dynamic content delivery across multiple channels via Optical CMS integration.

• Ensure compliance with government policies (e.g., IM8, PDPA) and secure-by-design principles.

• Implement mobile-responsive UI designs and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1).

Cloud, DevSecOps & Deployment

• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows.

• Apply DevSecOps practices across development lifecycle.

• Work with AWS services such as API Gateway, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, DynamoDB, and RDS.

• Manage containerization using Docker/Kubernetes.

• Ensure GCC+ deployment compliance and adherence to government cloud security requirements.

Security & Compliance

• Implement security best practices including:

  • Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)

  • Rate limiting

  • Audit logging

• Integrate identity providers (SSO, OAuth2.0, 2FA).

• Assist in security breach investigations and implement remediation controls.

• Ensure systems comply with government security standards.

Operations & Support

• Monitor CMS backend infrastructure health and performance.

• Perform routine maintenance, updates, and patches.

• Troubleshoot and resolve software/hardware issues related to Optical CMS backend.

• Conduct root cause analysis for incidents and prepare post-incident reports.

• Support UAT, production cutovers, and post-deployment support.

• Analyze usage and performance metrics to improve system reliability.

• Provide technical support and create internal training materials.

Technical Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in operations support and full-stack development.

• Strong proficiency in:

  • JavaScript / TypeScript

  • React.js / Next.js

  • Node.js

  • Java (Spring Boot)

• Experience with headless CMS platforms (Optical CMS, Contentful, Sanity, Strapi).

• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and backend integrations.

• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.

• Experience with Git, GitLab CI / Jenkins.

• Experience in containerization (Docker / Kubernetes).

• Working knowledge of:

  • Accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1)

  • Secure coding practices

  • Government
