Job Description

Functions / Responsibilities

•      Provide Level 2 database administration support for Microsoft SQL
Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle platforms.
•      Deliver 24×7 operational support including monitoring, incident
response, troubleshooting, and service restoration.
•      Ensure database availability, performance, and stability in line with
service level commitments.
•      Support databases across production, test, and non-production
environments.
•      Design, implement, and operate backup and recovery strategies to
meet RPO and RTO requirements.
•      Perform and validate database restoration and disaster recovery
tests.
•      Implement and maintain database security controls including
access management, encryption, and auditing.
•      Support database patching, upgrades, and configuration changes
through controlled change processes.
•      Perform database performance monitoring, tuning, and capacity
planning.
•      Maintain accurate documentation including configurations,
procedures, and runbooks.
Participate in problem management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Performance Requirements:

Experience:
• 4–6 years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator in
enterprise or managed services environments.
•   Proven experience supporting Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL,
and Oracle in production environments.
•   Experience working in 24×7 or mission-critical environments is
preferred.

Technical Skills

•   Administration of Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle
Database platforms.
•   Backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
•   Database performance tuning and optimization.
•   Security hardening, access control, and auditing.
•   Database monitoring tools and alerting systems.
•   Familiarity with ITIL-aligned incident, problem, and change
management processes.
•   Scripting skills (SQL, PowerShell, shell scripting) are an advantage.

Certifications ( Preferred )

•   Microsoft SQL Server certification.
•   Oracle Database certification.
•   PostgreSQL certification or equivalent experience.
•   ITIL Foundation or equivalent service management certification.

operations.

problem management.
•   Active contribution to automation and continuous service
improvement initiatives.

Education / Qualifications

•   Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology.
Databased Management, or a related discipline.
