Job Summary
The Network Operations Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day operational stability, monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement of the enterprise network environment under the Customer Managed Services contract. The role operates within a high-availability, regulated, and business-critical environment supporting guest-facing and core operational systems.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Level 1 and Level 2 network operations support for LAN, WAN, WLAN, firewall, and network security components to maintain enterprise network stability.
- Monitor network systems 24×7×365 to detect, triage, and resolve incidents promptly, ensuring compliance with SLA and OLA commitments.
- Execute standard operating procedures for fault isolation, escalation, workaround implementation, and service restoration to minimize downtime.
- Lead participation in major incident management, conduct root cause analysis, and produce post-incident reports to prevent recurrence.
- Support change, patch, and maintenance activities while minimizing service disruption and maintaining operational continuity.
- Operate in strict compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements to uphold network integrity and governance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, incidents, and operational procedures to support knowledge sharing and audit readiness.
- Drive service stabilization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance network performance and operational efficiency.
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in enterprise network operations or managed services environments.
- Experience supporting mission-critical or 24×7 operational environments.
- Proficient in LAN/WAN routing and switching technologies.
- Skilled in enterprise firewall and network security technologies.
- Experienced with wireless networking (enterprise WLAN).
- Competent in using network monitoring and event management tools.
- Knowledgeable in ITIL-aligned incident, problem, and change management processes.
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- CCNA / CCNP or equivalent certifications.
- ITIL Foundation or equivalent service management certification.
- Exposure to regulated or high-security environments.
- Strong incident response discipline with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
- Clear and professional communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Structured troubleshooting and documentation approach to resolve network issues efficiently.
- High integrity and compliance awareness to maintain security standards.
