Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Junior Network Monitoring Engineer to join our 24/7 Network Operations Center (NOC) team. You will monitor critical network infrastructure, triage alerts, and ensure maximum uptime while working a rotational 24/7 shift pattern.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor real-time network health, bandwidth, and device status using enterprise monitoring dashboards to ensure continuous network performance
  • Acknowledge and assess incoming network alerts, create accurate trouble tickets, and document initial issue symptoms for effective incident tracking
  • Perform initial troubleshooting of routine connectivity faults and conduct simple device checks following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Identify complex infrastructure or security issues and escalate promptly to Tier 2/3 engineering teams to meet service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Document shift activities clearly and comprehensively to support smooth operational handovers between shifts

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Candidate to possess a ITE/Diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication)
  • 0–2 years of experience. Fresh graduates with a strong passion for networking and systems infrastructure are welcome to apply.
  • Familiarity with basic diagnostic tools (Ping, Traceroute, Wireshark) or exposure to network monitoring software like SolarWinds.
  • Certifications (Optional but Preferred): CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCST, or progress toward a CCNA.
