GO13445800 - Business Analyst / Business Architect (9 Months)

The Company

We are supporting a well-established financial services organisation and seeking a Business Analyst or Business Architect for a 9-months project.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role sitting within a wider transformation team, not a project management or transformation leadership position, but a critical one.

The Role

• Facilitating workshops and discovery sessions with stakeholders across multiple streams to gather and validate requirements.
• Documenting future-state designs, process flows, operating procedures, and governance standards. The focus is on how things should work going forward, not an exhaustive mapping of how things work today.
• Supporting the design and documentation of the target operating model including capability definitions, governance frameworks, and service delivery approaches.
• Identifying gaps between current capabilities and future-state requirements and making clear, practical recommendations.
• Working closely with outsourced partners and internal teams to make sure designs are realistic and can be implemented.
• Collaborating with the Project Manager and broader transformation team to help shape and define delivery plans. You won't be managing plans yourself but your input will directly inform them.
• Keeping documentation in good shape across the programme, including process maps, business requirements, issue logs, and design documents.
• Helping define success measures and KPIs to make sure the implemented model is delivering what it should.
• Preparing clear, well-structured materials for governance forums and cross-functional communication.

Your Profile

• Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; a qualification in business analysis or change management is advantageous.
• Solid experience as a Business Analyst or Business Architect.
• Background in reinsurance is strongly preferred, broader insurance or financial services will also be considered.
• Strong facilitation skills, comfortable running workshops, drawing out requirements, challenging stakeholders, and managing conversations across different levels and functions.
• Good understanding of operating model concepts, process design, governance frameworks, capability models, and service delivery structures.
• Ability to document to a high standard: process flows, future-state designs, SOPs, governance documents - clear, structured, and easy to follow
• Experience supporting implementation activity - UAT, readiness assessments, and transition to business as usual.
• Able to manage multiple workstreams and priorities within defined timelines.
• Proficiency with Visio, PowerPoint, and Excel; Power BI or Tableau is a bonus.
• Lean Six Sigma or business analysis certifications are a plus.
