Product Development Manager (Wealth Accumulation/HNW Insurance/$7K) (ID: 695943)

Responsibilities:

1. Ideation of Product Propositions

• Be part of the ideation squad (which consist of members from different departments) for your assigned product to participate in brainstorming and conceptualisation of product propositions that will meet the needs (pain points) of the specific customer segment.
• Work with the Customer Insights and Research team to prepare and conduct customer research (e.g. via surveys, interviews) to gather customer feedback.
• Engage other relevant stakeholders to test out product propositions (including price points) and revise product design accordingly (iterative process) until the optimal product design with a strong proposition is formed.
• Assist team lead in preparing the presentation deck to share ideas to a wider group, including management, to get their buy-in on the product proposition.

2. Product Approval

• Assist team lead in the preparation of business case (including business objectives and justifications) and the necessary materials for product approval.

• Assist team lead in the preparation of all other materials required for product approval within the product approval framework.
• Engage other relevant approving stakeholders to ensure that they provide their sign-off in a timely manner so that launch date is not compromised.

3. Product Delivery and Launch Preparation

• Assist the team lead in the preparation of materials for product discussion with downstream stakeholders to ensure they have a comprehensive understanding of the product proposition, intent and design for the purpose of implementation.
• Drafting of policy documents and product summaries, and co-ordinate the circulation of materials to relevant stakeholders to obtain feedback and final sign-off.
• Assist the team lead in the preparation of marketing brief for engagement and discussion with Customer Marketing and Propositions team for the purpose of designing marketing materials that speaks to the target customer segment.

4. Post-Sales Monitoring and Tracking

• Assist the team lead in the extraction of sales data on a timely manner from launch.
• Work together with the team lead on the monitoring of sales of products launched, e.g. is sales aligned with expected, who are the actual customers buying, are they aligned with who we expect the target segment to be, who are the reps selling, etc.
• Work with the team lead for a presentation deck to present analysis and findings to a broader group of stakeholders, including management.
• Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
• Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
• Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.

Requirements:

• Tertiary education qualification in Actuarial, Insurance, Finance, Marketing, or related fields.
• 4 to 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in product development or sales propositions.
• Strong analytical skills with a creative mindset for generating ideas and solutions.
• Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement and persuasion.
• Exceptional planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive, action-oriented individual who thrives under pressure and tight deadlines.
• High integrity with a strong sense of accountability and teamwork.
• Initiative to improve existing processes and adaptability to change.
