Test Engineer (Banking/6 month contract)

About the role

This role involves developing and executing tests to detect and report errors in the product, ensuring the highest quality of the operations system. You will develop suitable testing plans and frameworks that align with customer needs, and coordinate with various functions and teams to incorporate necessary product changes.

Key responsibilities

• Write test cases, prepare and create test data, execute and retest test cases

• Leverage in-house GenAI for test case creation and enrichment

• Ensure test runs and results are completed within the given time frame

• Develop and execute test plans to validate software functionality against requirements and specifications

• Identify, report, and track software defects and issues

• Perform functional, performance, security, and regression testing of software products

• Report test results and defects to the development team and other stakeholders, and work on their resolution

• Provide suggestions and feedback to improve the quality of the software development process across teams

• Stay updated with the latest testing tools, techniques, and methodologies

• Work closely with the Testing Centre of Excellence (COE) to enhance testing processes and standardize testing practices across operations

About you

• Degree in computer science, engineering, or similar technical certifications

• At least 2-3 years of experience in testing, quality assurance, or similar roles, preferably in a SaaS or tech consultancy business

• Excellent problem-solving skills, an analytical mindset, and strong communication skills

• Proficiency in testing tools such as JIRA, Selenium, Appium, and other testing frameworks (preferred)

• Certifications such as ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) and CSTE (Certified Software Tester) (preferred)
