Service Engineer – Gas Turbine (LTSA – GTCC / OCGT) HSW

Job Responsibilities:

1. Technical Support

• Develop and maintain good working relationships with Customers, ensuring that the Customers’ technical issues and requirements are clearly understood and addressed in an effective and timely manner.
• Respond to internal and external customer requests for technical issue resolution, using technical product knowledge and analytical skills while adhering to sound engineering principles, standards, practices, and procedures.
• Prepare and present clear and concise technical instructions, procedures, reports, specifications, and proposals.
• Communicating with and proactively supporting the Customer to act on Technical Information notices to enhance the plant.
• Identifying potential failures with support from the 24/7 remote monitoring hub and expert support, and proactively engaging Customers to develop counter measures.
• Analyze, track and report monthly Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) data and relevant KPIs for the LTSA, for the purposes of invoicing and for monitoring performance against the contractual guarantees and obligations. If necessary, recommend corrective actions.
• Reviewing and presenting the monthly monitoring diagnostic reports to the Customers.
• Support the prospecting, developing, and winning of aftermarket sales opportunities.
• Travel to customer site locations in Singapore to support project and technical meetings.

2. Planned / Unplanned Maintenance

• Collaborate and coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders (E.g. Customers, LTSA Program Manager, Technical Advisors, Service Engineering team, Repair Facilities and Local Vendors) to support the planning and successful execution of Planned or Unplanned Maintenance.
• Present and discuss plans and schedules for Planned or Unplanned Maintenance
• Coordinate and support the efficient dispatch of Parts and Technical Advisory Services.
• Perform Technical Advisory services with relation to Planned or Unplanned Maintenance

3. Troubleshoot

• In the event of plant emergencies (including times beyond normal working hours),provide on-site fact-finding/ troubleshooting support to the Customer and internal stakeholders, provide technical advice to support Unplanned Maintenance and recommissioning of the power plants.
• Communicate failure data (Eg. Interviews, pictures, measurements, event logs, data logs) between the Customer and internal stakeholders to support investigations of various operational problems on the Power Train and Auxiliary systems, which involve analyzing operational, mechanical, instrumentation, control aspects
• Lead or support root cause analysis to determine the original cause of failures that led to forced outages, and recommend necessary countermeasures to minimize impact
• Investigate problems that may occur during maintenance works, consult with internal stakeholders and provide solutions on urgent basis.
• Summarize findings and conclusions in clear, logical, and easily understood reports for external and internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in engineering or a relevant technical field.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience with Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, or large rotating equipment in design, installation, commissioning, operation, or maintenance.

• Willingness to travel frequently for on-site services.

• Technical knowledge of Gas/Steam Turbines, Turbine Generators, large-scale rotating equipment, control systems, and auxiliary equipment.

• Proficiency in troubleshooting, diagnostic software, reading schematics/technical drawings, and performing preventative maintenance.
