Job Summary
Assistant Project Manager (APM) supports the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing projects to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The APM assists with scheduling, documentation, communication, and monitoring project progress while ensuring compliance with company standards and client requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors
Track project progress and prepare status reports
Maintain project documentation, contracts, and records
Support risk assessment and issue resolution processes
Communicate with stakeholders regarding project updates
Help ensure projects meet quality standards and deadlines
Monitor project expenses and support cost control efforts
Schedule and attend project meetings; record meeting minutes
Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
1–3 years of project coordination or related experience
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello, or similar)
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
