Job Description

Salt Talent Search is looking for a Engineering Manager for a 12 months extendable contract role. The Telecom Manager is responsible for leading and managing a team of engineers while providing technical leadership and engineering support to assigned projects. This hybrid role combines people management with hands-on technical oversight and departmental support to ensure successful project execution, delivery of high-quality and standardized engineering solutions, and the professional growth of team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the standardization of engineering documentation to ensure consistency, accuracy, and high-quality deliverables.
  2. Manage and maintain engineering software tools, licenses, version control systems, and related resources.
  3. Develop, implement, and enforce engineering workflows, processes, and quality assurance procedures.
  4. Promote knowledge sharing and support continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering department.
  5. Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and introduce technical innovations.
  6. Supervise, mentor, and develop engineers within the team.
  7. Conduct performance reviews, set objectives, and support employees’ career development and progression. Provide technical leadership, guidance, and decision-making support for telecom engineering projects.
  8. Ensure engineering solutions meet project requirements, timelines, quality standards, and client expectations.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Telecommunications, Electronic & Electrical Engineering (EEE),Computer or IT & System Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in Telecom Engineering and project delivery in Oil &Gas or Renewable Industry. Experience in System Integration projects is preferred.
  • Prior People Management experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical expertise in multiple Telecom systems and solutions.
  • Effectively manage engineering and people.
  • Knowledge of engineering documentation standards and software management.
  • Strategic thinking with a hands-on approach.
  • Strong stakeholder management and client-facing skills.
  • Experience managing APAC requirements is important
