Network Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a Network Engineer (WAN) to join our client and help design, implement, and manage wide area network solutions that ensure high performance and reliability.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, vendors, and service providers to maintain and optimize WAN infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and support network deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage WAN solutions including MPLS, SD-WAN, and VPN technologies.
• Monitor network performance, identify issues, and troubleshoot WAN-related problems.
• Document network configurations and operational processes for compliance and reference.
• Participate in network capacity planning and forecasting to maintain reliability and performance.
• Provide technical support during the deployment of new network components and services.
• Collaborate with vendors and service providers to optimize network solutions.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging WAN technologies to recommend improvements.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of experience in network engineering with a focus on WAN technologies.
• Strong knowledge of WAN protocols and technologies, including MPLS, SD-WAN, and IPsec VPNs.
• Experience configuring and managing routing and switching devices from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and performance metrics.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP and networking concepts.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver network solutions.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are advantageous.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn emerging networking technologies.
