Graphical User Interface (GUI) Programmer / Software Engineer [Industrial Automation | C# | WPF | Machine Vision | Windows Applications]

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain custom machine vision and GUI applications for industrial automation equipment.

• Build and maintain PCs and PC-based GUI software for industrial machines.

• Analyse project requirements and develop multitasking Windows desktop applications using WPF.

• Interface GUI applications with third-party embedded controllers via APIs.

• Optimise existing software to improve performance, stability, and resolve bugs.

• Conduct testing and support continuous improvement of GUI design and system performance.

• Provide technical support to field operations when required.

• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 1–3 years of relevant experience developing Windows applications for industrial or automation equipment.

• Strong proficiency in C#, WPF, and the .NET Framework.

• Experience in developing rich, modern, and user-friendly graphical interfaces.

• Good understanding of communication protocols such as TCP/IP, RS-232, camera interfaces, and motion controller interfaces (e.g. Epson, ABB, Beckhoff).

• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as MODBUS and SECS/GEM is an added advantage.

• Experience with MS SQL Server is an advantage.

• Knowledge of JSON and RESTful APIs will be an added advantage.

• Strong understanding of process mapping and software design principles.
