Senior Systems & Automation Engineer (L3/4)

About the Role

You will provide senior-level (L3/4) escalation support across systems, cloud, and security domains while driving automation and operational excellence. This role blends troubleshooting, systems operations, and automation across enterprise platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Resolve complex L3/4 incidents across systems, virtualisation, cloud and security.

• Work with automation teams to optimise effort and implement automation solutions.

• Perform root-cause analysis and lead technical escalations.

• Coach L1–L3 engineers and ensure high-quality operational execution.

• Support cross-domain operations (VMware, cloud, backups, identity tools).

Technical Skills

• VMware suite (vSphere, Horizon), Veeam

• Cloud: AWS / Azure (admin/architect-level exposure)

• Automation: Ansible, GitLab CI/CD

• Security/Monitoring: Splunk, CyberArk, Opswat

• Strong troubleshooting and multi-domain systems engineering

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in IT or equivalent.

• Certifications preferred: VMware VCP, Azure/AWS Associate/Architect, Veeam VMCE, Ansible automation.

• 5–10 years experience in systems engineering with escalation responsibilities.
