Job Description
The Air Freight Operations Executive is responsible for managing the end-to-end air freight process, including export, import, transshipment, and cross-trade shipments. This role ensures timely and accurate documentation, communication, and coordination with stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations.
Key Accountabilities:
Freight Process Management:
• Oversee customer service, documentation, operational processes, execution, procurement, and transportation arrangements.
• Monitor and manage warehouse receiving activities and inventory levels.
Communication:
• Coordinate with customers, co-loaders, overseas offices, agents, transport providers, and vendors.
• Issue pre-alerts and manage shipment pickups, deliveries, and status updates.
Shipment Registration and Documentation:
• Ensure accurate and timely entry and updates of shipment details in the CargoWise system.
Payment and Invoicing:
• Process billing in CargoWise, ensuring invoices are prepared accurately and issued promptly to payors.
• Review and validate vendor invoices and follow up on any discrepancies.
Sales Support and Reporting:
• Assist the sales team by supporting customer inquiries and resolving complaints.
• Extract data and prepare required reports using Excel.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• Tertiary qualifications with minimum 5 year experience in Air Freight Operations.
• Proficiency in use of CargoWise
• Experience with USA, South East Asia, China markets
• Excellent service mindset with ability to connect with customers and extend an extra mile in resolving their issues / concerns.
• Effective verbal and written communications in English.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, be organized, methodical and deal well under pressure.
