Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows.
• Work extensively with Apache Spark, Hadoop, and other distributed computing technologies.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver high‑quality data solutions.
• Implement and optimize data models using both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and reliability across all data assets.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and Agile sprint planning.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for data workflows.
• Support migration and integration projects across AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or relevant discipline
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Scala and PySpark.
• Deep understanding of distributed computing frameworks such as Apache Spark and Hadoop.
• Solid experience with SQL, NoSQL, and data modelling principles.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based version control, and Agile methodologies.
• Exposure to major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
