IT operator

We are seeking an IT Operations Engineer with 4–5 years of hands-on experience in production IT operations, change management, risk assessment, security compliance, and AWS cloud environments.
This role is focused on operational excellence, system stability, and secure change execution—not software development.

The ideal candidate is clear-minded, calm under pressure, operationally mature, and capable of making sound decisions in non-SOP scenarios.

Key Responsibilities

Change Management

• Execute and govern production changes, ensuring adherence to Change Management policies to minimize risk and downtime.

• Prepare and review change plans, impact assessments, rollback procedures, and approvals.

• Perform hands-on production changes, including UI-based, command-line, and pipeline-driven executions.

Risk Assessment & Compliance

• Conduct regular risk assessments across infrastructure and applications.

• Ensure systems comply with IT security policies and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, GDPR, internal controls).

• Support internal and external audits with proper evidence and documentation.

Security & Incident Management

• Enforce IT security controls and operational security best practices.

• Support security incident response, investigation, and remediation activities.

• Work with privileged access tools (e.g., CyberArk) and secure access platforms.

AWS Cloud Operations

• Operate and support AWS environments, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, and IAM.

• Monitor system health, availability, and performance across cloud resources.

• Support infrastructure automation and deployment activities using Terraform or CloudFormation (operational execution and monitoring).

Monitoring & Optimization

• Monitor systems, applications, and cloud resources to ensure high availability and performance.

• Identify operational risks and optimization opportunities.

• Respond to alerts and incidents in a timely and structured manner.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with cross-functional teams (Security, Infrastructure, DevOps, Application Support).

• Communicate clearly during incidents and changes, providing status updates and impact assessments.

• Maintain accurate operational documentation, runbooks, and SOPs.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4–5 years of experience in IT Operations / IT Support / System Operations roles.

• Strong hands-on experience with production change execution.

• Solid understanding of Change Management, Risk Management, and IT Security Compliance.

• Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch).

• Familiarity with ITIL / ITSM frameworks.

• Comfortable using Citrix, Jenkins pipelines, CyberArk, and UI or command-line–based run commands as an operational user.

• Strong troubleshooting, incident handling, and decision-making skills.

• Clear communicator with good judgment in ambiguous situations.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certifications (SysOps Administrator, Solutions Architect, or DevOps Engineer).

• Experience with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.

• Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, SOC 2).
