AWS Functional Business Analyst | Contract

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced AWS Functional Business Analyst to lead the analysis, planning, and execution of a key cloud migration project — transitioning an on-premises portal to AWS cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will work closely with architects, developers, and project stakeholders to ensure a smooth and efficient modernization process aligned with Agile delivery principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering, analysis, and user story grooming sessions.
• Collaborate with solution architects and developers to design and validate cloud-based solutions.
• Oversee and coordinate testing activities, ensuring functionality and performance standards are met.
• Identify and assess project risks, propose mitigation strategies, and track resolution progress.
• Maintain clear documentation, project reports, and progress updates throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Job requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in cloud migration or modernization projects.
• Proficiency in AWS, SQL, and Agile delivery frameworks.
• Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional and geographically diverse teams.
• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect – Associate) is a plus
