Data Scientist, GenAI (1-year renewable contract)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML/Gen AI solutions across areas such as consumer applications, EV charging, grid planning, asset optimization, billing operations, work site safety, and customer experience.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements, leverage domain knowledge, and deliver business value.
• Work closely with data engineers, business analysts, product owners, UX designers, AI engineers, and software engineers within an agile delivery framework.
• Establish and implement AI governance practices, including model documentation, validation, explainability, monitoring, security, and ethical considerations.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging AI tools, frameworks, and vendor solutions for adoption.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Data Analytics & AI, or a related field.
• Proven track record in developing and deploying AI/ML solutions to solve real-world business problems.
• Hands-on experience with Gen AI frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, and HuggingFace Transformers.
• Strong understanding of machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI models, with the ability to assess their strengths and limitations for different applications.
• Expertise in feature engineering and applying statistical techniques to improve model performance.
• Deep proficiency in at least one domain: computer vision (CV), natural language processing (NLP), time-series modeling, network analysis, predictive maintenance, document understanding, RAG, PEFT fine-tuning, or Agentic AI.

Bonus skills:

• Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership in end-to-end project delivery.
• Proficiency in data visualization and storytelling, translating technical insights into actionable business outcomes.
• Experience deploying Gen AI models to production, including containerization (Docker), APIs, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with AI governance frameworks (e.g., Singapore’s Model AI Governance Framework, EU AI Act, NIST AI Risk Framework).
• Knowledge of energy tech or related domains.
