Job Description

Main Responsibilities:

Independently develop structural design to comply with Class and Technical specification requirements within assigned schedule.
Responsible for delivering the respective project design drawing and document according to project plan schedule.
Review external designer’s pre-contract technical specifications, general arrangement and drawing lists.
Liaise with Owner and Classification Society for the specific design requirement compliance, review, and approval.
Review external designer’s pre-contract technical specifications, general arrangement and drawing lists.
Performing FE analysis using FEMAP is an advantage.
Review project team members drawings, calculations or documents prior submission.
Perform structural calculation, rudder calculation and design.
Prepare optimized arrangement & detail structure concept.
Prepares sourcing technical specifications for fittings related to structure (special material/construction, rudder, etc.)
Coordinates with detail designer / production designer and checks their processes and output.
Communicate with the person in charge of production on trouble shooting and visiting on-site if needed.

Requirements:

Bachelors in Engineering or Civil Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in the marine/offshore industry with Structure newbuilding engineering design.
Familiar with AutoCAD/ Microsoft Office/ AVEVA/ FEMAP and Good communication and analytical skills.
Candidates with less experience are welcome to apply and may be considered for a lower appointment level, commensurate with experience.
