Job Description

We are seeking a creative and user-centric UI/UX Designer to support the development and enhancement of a digital mental health platform focused on improving accessibility to evidence-based therapy and care delivery.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, developers, clinicians, researchers, and operational stakeholders to design intuitive, accessible, and engaging experiences across both mobile and web platforms.

This role will contribute to the design of patient-facing applications, clinician dashboards, and supporting digital workflows aimed at improving user engagement, adherence, and overall care experience.

Key Responsibilities

User Experience & Interface Design

  • Design and enhance user experiences across mobile and web platforms, including patient applications and clinician dashboards.

  • Develop wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs aligned with digital health and behavioural design best practices.

  • Ensure consistency, usability, and accessibility across all platform components and related integrations.

  • Support scalable and maintainable design systems, style guides, and reusable UI components.

User Research & Usability Testing

  • Conduct user research, surveys, interviews, and usability testing with diverse user groups including patients and healthcare professionals.

  • Translate research insights into actionable design improvements and product recommendations.

  • Iterate on designs based on user feedback, analytics data, pilot findings, and stakeholder input.

Collaboration & Product Development

  • Collaborate closely with developers, clinicians, researchers, and product stakeholders to understand workflows, user needs, and business objectives.

  • Support implementation by providing design guidance, specifications, and assets throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Ensure designs align with operational workflows, service delivery requirements, and platform objectives.

Accessibility & Inclusive Design

  • Incorporate accessibility and inclusive design principles to support users with varying digital literacy levels and diverse needs.

  • Conduct accessibility reviews and recommend improvements to enhance usability and engagement.

  • Support design strategies that encourage adherence, behavioural change, and sustained user engagement.

Deliverables

  • User personas, journey maps, and service blueprints.

  • Wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mobile/web designs.

  • Design systems, UI guidelines, and component libraries.

  • Accessibility recommendations and usability improvement reports.

  • Developer-ready design assets including iconography, typography, and visual components.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in UI/UX design for digital products, web platforms, or mobile applications.

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX process, interaction design, and visual design capabilities.

  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or equivalent.

  • Experience conducting user research and usability testing.

  • Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and design systems.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with developers and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and presentation skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in healthcare, wellness, or digital health products.

  • Familiarity with behavioural design, engagement strategies, or service design methodologies.

  • Experience designing for both mobile applications and operational dashboards.

  • Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design best practices.
