Business Analyst (Public Healthcare)

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Business Analyst to support the development and enhancement of a national digital wellness and support platform. The platform provides users with access to wellness resources, self-assessment tools, AI-powered support services, and community care pathways designed to improve accessibility to mental health and well-being services.

The successful candidate will work closely with product managers, designers, developers, operations teams, and stakeholders to translate business and user needs into clear, actionable requirements that support effective product delivery and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Product Requirements & Business Analysis

• Gather, analyse, and document business, user, and system requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and data analysis.
• Translate requirements into clear deliverables such as user stories, epics, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications.
• Support backlog management and prioritisation in alignment with product goals and operational requirements.
• Ensure requirements are traceable, testable, and aligned with success metrics and KPIs.
• Continuously refine requirements based on user feedback, analytics insights, and evolving business or policy needs.

Process Mapping & Service Design

• Develop and maintain process maps, user journeys, and service blueprints for digital products and services.
• Identify workflow gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvements.
• Support the design of scalable, user-centric operational and digital processes.

Quality Assurance & Acceptance Support

• Define acceptance criteria and support development of test scenarios.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, execution support, and defect validation.
• Track and manage requirement-related defects and change requests through resolution.
• Support release readiness and ensure business requirements are fully met prior to deployment.

Documentation & Knowledge Management

• Produce and maintain documentation including requirement specifications, process documentation, and user guides.
• Ensure proper version control and accessibility of documentation for internal stakeholders.
• Support knowledge transfer across teams to ensure continuity of operations and product development.

Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

• Collaborate with analytics teams to define tracking and reporting requirements.
• Analyse user behaviour and performance data to support product enhancement decisions.
• Support preparation of periodic progress updates and stakeholder reports.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in digital product, technology, or transformation projects.
• 4 years of experience in requirement gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder management.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and tools such as Jira or Confluence.
• Ability to write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation.
• Experience supporting UAT and working closely with product, design, and engineering teams.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in healthcare, public sector, or digital service environments will be an advantage.

• Experience working with user analytics and reporting tools.
• Familiarity with service design methodologies and customer journey mapping.
• Understanding of digital platforms, operational workflows, and continuous improvement practices.
