Job Summary

Our client is hiring a Backend Software Engineer (Efficiency Engineering) in Singapore to develop and optimize internal business systems and engineering efficiency platforms, enhancing productivity and operational workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize backend logic for internal enterprise systems to enhance functionality and performance
• Design and build efficiency engineering platforms and tools that improve development quality, operational efficiency, and automate workflows
• Collaborate with product managers, QA teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure high product quality and timely delivery
• Continuously improve system architecture to enhance scalability, maintainability, and stability of internal platforms
• Participate in technical discussions, troubleshoot system issues, and lead performance optimization initiatives

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum 3 years of backend development experience, or outstanding fresh graduates with strong technical foundations
• Proficient in at least one backend programming language such as Golang, Java, Python, or PHP, with hands-on experience using common frameworks
• Familiarity with both relational and non-relational databases
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills demonstrated through detail-oriented and proactive approaches
• Effective communication skills to collaborate within team environments
• Passion for technology and commitment to continuous learning

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Strong interest in engineering productivity, developer tools, system performance, user experience, or information security
• Ability to develop across multiple programming languages
• Experience developing internal enterprise systems such as approval workflows, HR, payroll, finance, or data analytics platforms
• Experience using or developing low-code platforms
• Interest in B2B or enterprise software products
