Cloudera & Database Administrator

About the Role

We are looking for a Cloudera & Database Administrator to manage and support enterprise databases and big data platforms. You will be responsible for day-to-day administration, performance, availability, and security of Cloudera, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server environments running on Windows and Linux systems C

Cloudera experience is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) and Hadoop ecosystem components (HDFS, Hive, Spark, etc.)

• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle and MS SQL Server databases

• Perform database monitoring, backup, recovery, and performance tuning

• Support high availability and replication (Data Guard, GoldenGate, SQL AlwaysOn)

• Manage security, access control, and compliance requirements

• Troubleshoot database and big data platform issues

• Work with application, infrastructure, and security teams

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field

• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in:

  • Oracle and/or MS SQL Server administration

  • Cloudera / Hadoop / Big Data platforms

• Experience with Windows and Linux environments

• Knowledge of database backup, recovery, and monitoring tools

• Basic scripting skills (Shell, PowerShell, or Python)

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Oracle or MS SQL certifications

• Experience with Data Guard, GoldenGate, SQL AlwaysOn

• ITIL or OS certifications

Soft Skills

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

• Good communication and documentation

• Able to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
