What The Role Is Untrained Teacher What You Will Be Working On As teachers, you build the foundation of education. You equip students with essential skills and sound values to prepare them for life. Anticipate a career of lifelong learning, as you grow alongside your students. What We Are Looking For We are looking for individuals with subject content knowledge and good communication skills to deliver the school curriculum effectively. Applicants will need to have good personal attributes for teaching and a willingness to learn. As teachers are role-models in professional practice and conduct, placed in a position of trust in nurturing and educating the young, applicants should have the ability to inculcate sound moral values and relate to the young. They should also have the fitness and stamina to deliver lessons, and resilience required to engage students safely and carry out their duties effectively. In addition, applicants should possess one of the following entry qualifications to meet the requirements for pre-service teacher training at the National Institute of Education (NIE). • University degree; or • Diploma; or • 'A' Level; or • IB diploma; or • equivalent qualifications You may submit an application when the window is open from 8 to 28 May 2026. If you would like to be considered for a teaching position under the PGDE / Dip Ed programme, you are required to: • Click "Apply Now" to fill in the FormSG application form. • Indicate your preferred teaching subjects. • Provide complete information and attach all your educational transcripts along with your application. If you have not received your official transcripts, you can submit your latest transcripts at point of application. Applicants interested to teach PE are strongly encouraged to apply by 18 May 2026 so that we can process your applications for the Physical Proficiency Test and interview. For other teaching subjects, you will need to submit your application by 28 May 2026, 11.00 PM. Applications submitted after this time may encounter technical difficulties and cannot be guaranteed successful submission. Do note that only applications received via the FormSG application form will be considered. In general, applicants can expect to hear from us within 4 weeks from the close of the application window. Applicants who are shortlisted will be invited for an interview. Following your interview, our recruitment team will carefully evaluate all interviewed candidates.
